I’ve read that only Texans know what makes a good salsa. And lucky for you, this Texan is about to share her homemade, Texas restaurant quality, fresh salsa. It is by far one of the best salsas I’ve ever had. It’s a recipe that was handed down from my Grandma Martin and although my grandmother was actually from California, the fact that the recipe eventually made its way to Texas, only confirms my theory that some of the best salsa’s come from Texas!
With just six ingredients, it’s super easy to make and will definitely become a family favorite in your own home!
- 1 (30.3 oz) can stewed tomatoes, drained
- ½ green bell pepper
- ½ tablespoon crushed red pepper
- ½ onion
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Combine all ingredients in a food processor and serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
A few tips… you can tweak the ingredients to make it as spicy as you like and you can freeze the leftovers.
