Welcome to Crazy Town.
It has been raining in Austin for nearly two weeks. We’ve needed the rain, but rain on the weekends equals crazy toddler town living room explosion and just plain crazy toddler. So to give us all some relief from crazy town we went out into the rain to try out a new restaurant.
The Oasis Brewery, which has actually been open for two years, is part of the Oasis, Texas complex. Oasis, Texas, the sunset capitol of Texas, features eclectic eateries and specialty shops built 450 feet above Lake Travis. The Brewery has four session beers that are available year round and four that are seasonal. The beer is refreshing and the menu is just as tasty.
Since the restaurant is built on a cliff overlooking Lake Travis, the best seats in the house are on the patio. Even on a cloudy, drizzly day, the views are amazing.
Walt and I knew that we wanted to relax and enjoy the view, so we came prepared with Monster Trucks!
Lucas pretending that Mommy was punching him in the face. Ha ha. Very funny.
It was just our luck that we finally tried the Oasis Brewery on their 2nd anniversary. Lucas and I enjoyed the live music and danced.
We just may have a budding photographer on our hands as Lucas captured a great photo of Walt and our friend Anthony.

If you’re looking for a restaurant with amazing lake views, craft beer, casual atmosphere, and good food, then the Oasis Brewery will hit the spot.
